I've posted my concept art for "Bomberman Live", available for download from Xbox Live Arcade. From what I can tell, critics and fans have received it very positively. The classic original is a personal favourite, and to work on pre-production for this remake was an absolute treat.

Both Konami (the publishers) and Backbone (the developers for whom I worked at the time) agreed that although the game should be visually worthy of the Xbox 360, it should retain the simple and precise game-play of the original 2D classic. Making the game in 3D allowed for perks like dynamic lighting effects, fast loading times, and a library of character costumes. Unusual for a game created in 3D, we flattened the perspective, because it's easier to see if you're safe from explosions on a flat grid.
