• The strange water-tower turned restaurant behind my parents' place
• My few remaining Alberta based friends
• My cranky one-eyed aunt
• My more immediate family

Things I am especially glad to leave behind in Alberta

• The drivers
• The lack of transit
• The epidemic of rabidly religious
• The epidemic of cookie cutter construction
• My mom asking me what I'd like to eat
• My dad's constant prophecies of a crippled and despairing life if I don't swiftly locate and court the affections of a nice girl
